Important:

Shady Lea Road is accessible from Route 1 north only and Google Maps is not up to date.

Directions for driving in from Connecticut and points south are accurate. 

Those coming from Providence and points north must use the directions below:

Rt 95S

Exit left onto Rt 4S and follow for several miles,  all the way to end

Merge onto Rt 1S

About 1/4 to 1/2 mile look for the brown "Shady Lea Historic District" sign and then exit to Rt 138E

Keep right. There is another brown Shady Lea sign.  Immediately exit back onto Rt 1, heading north.

Shady Lea Rd is the first right, follow it  to the brick mill.
